Utah Childrens Choir

We had a wonderful experience at the begining of June. The Utah Childrens Choir was on tour and one of their stops was our stake center. It was a wonderful program in which we felt the spirit and were uplifted by wonderful children and youth.

Our stake was asked to provide housing for the Choir after the performance and we volunteered for a group of 4 boys. However right after the choir was done, they asked to please sign up for hosting a group as they still had kids with out a place to stay for the night. All they were needing was ground to sleep on, they each had sleeping bags with them. So, needless to say we said we could take another group. They ended up assigning us another group of boys (teenagers). We ended up taking home six boys with one adult. In our little house, poor Emma felt so shy and timid all of a sudden surrounded by so many boys she stayed close to me for the rest of the night. Jacob was overjoyed to be able to have some boys to play video games with and they stayed up til almost midnight playing.

In the morning, after a good breakfast of pancakes and bacon, they were off. Here is a pic of one of the groups with us in the morning.

The older boys kinda scattered when they saw the camera and we didn't want to push them, so I can't show them. But we did enjoy being able to host these wonderful boys.
