Albuquerque

It has almost been a year since we moved to El Paso, and since we moved here, our old Bishop who now lives in Albuquerque, NM has invited us to go visit him and his wife, and for one reason or another the trip had not been made. But right after we saw the kids from the choir off, we took off in another direction. We finally made it to their home in the mountains. It was such a relaxing trip. The way Gabe describes it is that all we did was eat, sleep, and laugh.

Jacob had his first driving experience, he got to drive their golf cart around their property. When he got off the cart it looked like he had grown a whole foot! He was so proud of himself. (But he still needs to practice, cause when he decided to show me how well he could drive, it was all I could do to not scream and want to take over!) LOL it was a good thing it was only a golf cart!

Emma ever the cat lover, quickly found the litter of kittens that were hidden outside, and set out to make them her pets. But the momma cat by the next morning had taken her kittens to another hiding spot and it took us most of the next day to find them again. LOL

Emma loved this view.

Isaac just enjoyed being outdoors. He found ants to pester, sticks to play with, and plenty of dogs to chase after him! He also liked going on the golf cart, trying to pet the kittens, (poor kitties) and most importantly playing in the dirt!

On Monday our final day there, Gabe wanted to go and find Madrid, NM. The filming place of parts of the movie Wild Hogs, of which he is a fan of. It was only about 30 miles away on the way to Santa Fe. It is a cute little town with lots of little shops selling all sorts of things for way above anything I felt comfortable paying. LOL But Gabe got the pics he wanted and Bishop invited us to the best tortas in Santa Fe! We ate at a park on the side of the road, which I loved cause it had a seesaw! Isaac had so much fun on it. I don't know who enjoyed it more Isaac or the rest of us listening to how much fun he was having on it.

Thanks for a great weekend Familia Gonzalez! We can't wait to go again!
